Problems on Permutations and Combinations:

1. In how many ways can the letters of the word 'TELL'be arranged? 

Solution:
               There are 4 letters in the given word and L is repeated twice. Hence,

               4!/2! = 4*3*2!/2!
                       = 12.

2. In how many ways can the letters of the word 'TEMPLE' be arranged?

Solution:
              There are 6 letters in the given word and E is repeated twice. Hence,

              6!/2! = 6*5*4*3*2!/2!
                       = 360.

Problem to solve: Three numbers are in the ratio of 4:2:3 and their product is 648. Find the smallest number.
