Problems on Permutations and Combinations:

1. In how many ways can a group of 4 men and 3 women be made out of a total 6 men and 5 women?

Solution:
               =  6C4 *  5C3
               =   6C2 *  5C2
               =  (6*5)/(1*2) * (5*4)/(1*2)
               = 150.

2. In how many ways a committee, consisting of 2 men and 4 women can be made from 5 men and 5 women?

Solution:
               =  5C2 *  5C4
               =  5C2 *  5C1
               =  (5*4)/(1*2) * 5
               =  50.

Problem to solve: Three numbers are in the ratio of 4:2:3 and their product is 648. Find the smallest number.
