Ratio and Proportion:

1. If 7a = 2b and 3b = 5c, then a:c is:

Solution:
            a/b = 2/7
            b/c = 5/3

            a = 2*5 = 10
            c = 3*7 = 21

            a:c is 10:21.


2. The ratio of 94.5 : 36 is

Solution:
               (32)4.5 / 36 = 39/36
                                 = 33
                                                 = 27
              The ratio is 27:1.
