Problems on Time and Distance:

1. How many minutes does A take to cover a distance of 200 m, if he runs at a speed of 10 km/hr?

Solution:
                  Speed = 10*(5/18) = 50/18 m/sec.

                  Time = 200*18/50 = 72 seconds 
                                                 = 1 minutes 12 seconds 
                                                 = 1(12/60) 
                                                 = 1(1/5) minutes.

2. A cyclist covers a distance of 75 m in 15 seconds. What’s the speed in km/hr of him?

Solution:
                 Speed = 75/15 
                            = 5 m/sec = 5*18/5 
                            = 18 km/hr.

Problem to solve: Three numbers are in the ratio of 4:2:3 and their product is 648. Find the smallest number.
