Answers of Day 244: 1. 8 minutes.
                                        2. 6 hours.

Problems to solve on Pipes and cisterns:

One-Third of a tank is full. Pipe A can fill a tank in 5 minutes and Pipe B can empty it in 3 minutes. If both the pipes are open, how long will it take to empty or fill the tank completely?

Pipes A and B can separately fill a cistern in 40 and 60n minutes respectively. There is a 3rd pipe in the bottom to empty it. If all the 3 pipes are simultaneously opened, then the cistern is dull in 30 minutes. In how much time the 3rd pipe alone can fill it?
